Plant these seeds to help out the threatened Monarch Butterfly population! Milkweed is the sole food source for these North American butterflies as they make their annual 3000 km migration from Canada to the Mexican mountains.

Sow seeds directly outdoors in fall, or cold stratify seeds for 3-6 weeks in the refrigerator before direct sowing in early spring. Seeds can also be started indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Sprinkle seeds on the surface of soil and barely cover. Seedlings emerge in 10-20 days (or longer!).
