Callistephus chinensis. These playful needle-like flowers start out modest and gradually unfold into a stunning deep pink spectacle of swirling spikes. Flowers reach 3' in height with 3.5-5" blooms and boast a prolonged life both in vases and gardens.

Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost for earlier blooms. Otherwise, direct sow outdoors after last frost date. Barely cover the seeds. Space or transplant 12-18" apart. Seeds germinate in 10-14 days.
