Ocimum Tenuiflorum. This fantastic herb is used for a beautiful, healthful tea. Commonly used for stress reduction, improved digestion and immune system support. Very productive and thrives in the summer heat. Extremely fragrant, but not to be confused with the flavour profile of the common Genovese basil.
Approx. 100 seeds per packet
Holy Basil requires some light for germination, so sow more shallowly than other basils. Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last spring frost. Plant seeds ¼" deep. Seeds will emerge in 5-10 days. Transplant to garden after danger of last frost has passed. Be sure to harden off before planting in the garden. When transplanting, allow for 4-8" between plants and 18" between rows.
