Tender green stalks change to deep red when ready to harvest. Very sweet when cooked into jams and desserts! Harvest from Spring to Fall. Rhubarb can live 15-20 years and spreads slowly.

Start indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost date. Sow seeds 1/4" deep and thin to 1 per pot. Seedlings emerge in 10-14 days. About 2 weeks before last spring frost, transplant seedlings outdoors, spaced 3-4' apart. Grow in rich, fertile, well drained soil. Refrain from harvesting in the first year to encourage crown development.
