A striking, cold-hardy green with deep ruby-red stems and dark green, slightly crinkled leaves. Mild, earthy flavour that’s excellent fresh or cooked. Highly productive and easy to grow, with strong regrowth for multiple harvests throughout the season. Beautiful in the garden and reliable in cool climates.

Direct sow seeds in the garden after threat of last frost has passed. Or start seeds indoors 3–6 weeks before last frost date. Sow seeds ½–1" deep, spacing plants 8–12" apart in rows 18–24" apart. Seedlings emerge in 7–14 days. Be sure to harden off before transplanting into the garden.
