Digitalis purpurea. Strikingly beautiful plants that grow 3–5' tall and produce spikes of tubular flowers in a variety of pinks, purples, and whites, with speckled interiors, attracting pollinators like bees and hummingbirds. Blooming in late spring to early summer, these plants add vertical interest to garden beds or borders. They can tolerate light frost and cold winter conditions, but all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
Approx 2000 seeds per packet (0.2g)
Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost, or direct seed outdoors in early spring or fall. Press seeds lightly into soil. Once frost danger has passed, transplant outdoors, spacing plants 12–18" apart. Seeds germinate in 14-21 days. Foxgloves may bloom in thier first year, but they usually flower in their second year.
