Asclepias incarnata. Upright plant with long green leaves and clusters of rosy-pink, vanilla-scented flowers in mid-summer. Attracts butterflies. Great for borders or wildflower meadows. Easy to grow. Height: 36-48", Spread: 24-30". Also known as Swamp Milkweed.

Sow seeds directly outdoors in fall, or cold stratify seeds for 3-6 weeks in the refrigerator before direct sowing in early spring. Seeds can also be started indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Sprinkle seeds on the surface of soil and barely cover. Seedlings emerge in 10-20 days (or longer!).
