A sweet, nutty winter squash with dark green, slightly flattened fruits and a distinctive button on the bottom. Vigorous vines produce 3–5 lb fruits with dense, bright orange flesh, perfect for roasting, soups, or baking. Harvest when the rind is hard and stems dry. Store in a cool, dry place for months of enjoyment.

Direct sow seeds in garden after threat of last frost has passed. Or start seeds indoors 3-6 weeks before last frost date. Sow seeds 1" deep, 3-4' apart, in rows 6-8' apart. Seedlings emerge in 5-12 days. Be sure to harden off before transplanting in the garden.
