A classic storage cabbage producing large, dense heads with deep purple-red leaves. Cold-hardy and slow to bolt, with a crisp texture and rich flavour that improves after frost. Excellent for fresh eating, cooking, fermenting, and long-term storage. Performs reliably in cool climates.

Start seeds indoors 4β6 weeks before last frost, or direct sow in early spring. Sow seeds ΒΌ" deep. Transplant or thin seedlings to 18β24" apart in rows 24β36" apart. Seedlings emerge in 7β14 days. Harden off before transplanting into the garden.
