A cool-season, perennial herb growing about 2 ft tall. Feathery, edible, dill-like foliage with a fresh, delicate anise-like flavor. This non-bulbing fennel is grown for its leaves and seeds rather than a thick bulb. Also known as: Common Fennel, Sweet Fennel.
Fennel has a long history of herbal use; the seeds have traditionally been used in teas for digestive and other wellness purposes.

Direct sow into garden in the spring. Sow seeds ½" deep, a few seeds in each spot you want a plant to grow. Thin to 12" apart. Seeds emerge in 10-21 days.
