Verbascum thapsus. Wild herb that produces soft, velvety grey leaves that give way to a tall spike of yellow flowers in their second year. Used medicinally for respiratory health, and great for beneficial insects.
0.2g per packet (approx 1500 seeds)
Direct sow in early spring or start indoors 6-8 weeks before last Spring frost. Cold stratify seeds for 3-6 weeks in the refrigerator before sowing to increase germination. Sprinkle seeds on the surface of soil and tamp down lightly. Do not cover with soil, as seeds need light to germinate. Seeds germinate in 14-21 days. Thin young plants to 18” apart.
