Rudbeckia fulgida. This long blooming variety boasts beautiful golden yellow, daisy-like petals surrounded by dark brown centres. Flowers bloom in mid to late summer and are a huge attractant to butterflies. Drought tolerant and deer resistant.

Direct sow in late fall or early spring. For earlier blooms, start indoors 6-8 weeks before planting outside. Press seeds into soil, do not cover with soil. Seeds need light to germinate. Space plants 15-18" apart. Seeds germinate in 10-25 days. Perennials are slow to grow in their first year.
